Land O’ Lakes, FL – (September 9, 2017) – Pasco County shelters are filling up quickly. Following is an update:
James W. Mitchell High School will open to accept evacuees at 9:30 p.m. Mitchell is located at 2323 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34655.
Centennial Middle School can’t take any more pets and only has room for about 25 more people.
River Ridge Middle/High School at capacity, but is registering those currently in line. New arrivals will be directed to Mitchell.
Pasco Middle School only has room for about 50 more people.
All open shelters will accept pets that are brought with food, water, and a crate or other means of control.
Other open shelters include Pasco and Weightman middle schools; Connerton, Double Branch, New River, Oakstead, Odessa, Pine View, Sanders, Seven Oaks, Trinity, and Veterans elementary schools; and Sunlake High School (humans only).
