Land O’ Lakes, FL – (July 27, 2017) – The Land O’ Lakes High School softball coaches yesterday were named the 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association High School National Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Land O’ Lakes softball team won the state 6A championship, defeating Plantation American Heritage, the team that knocked them out of the championship race in the semifinals in 2016. The win capped a season during which the team lost only three games, and a three- year stretch during which they went 80-9-1.
When he heard the news, Superintendent Kurt Browning declared, “What a great honor for a deserving, state championship coaching staff!”
Coach Mitch Wilkins leads a coaching staff made up of assistants Janet Sciales, Edwin Rodriguez and Vinny Guarracino. For more information, visit https://tinyurl.com/yb64j4or.
