Land O’ Lakes, FL – (October 12, 2016) – The Pasco County Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is partnering with the American Manufacturing Skills Initiative (AMskills) and Pasco-Hernando State College for middle and high school student manufacturing tours in celebration of Manufacturing Day on October 14 and 28. These tours were originally scheduled for October 7, but Hurricane Matthew forced Pasco County schools to close.
Each tour starts at approximately 10:15 a.m., and students will visit the following locations:

Each group of students will participate in a behind-the-scenes tour, gain insight from managers, and interact with shop workers on the floor. They have been paired with tours that are similar to their CTE field of study. Additional tours may be scheduled, and there are similar student tours taking place in Hernando County.
