Who: Lacoochee Elementary School staff and families, and COPE/Shoes for Schools
What: Back-to-school shoes and clothing giveaway
When: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, July 28
Where: Lacoochee Elementary School, 38815 Cummer Rd., in Dade City
Why: As the first day of school approaches, Lacoochee Elementary School wants to ensure its students are prepared to return in style. The school and its staff plan to surprise their students during the last day of summer school with the donations. Students are eligible to choose a free pair of shoes and clothing, which will be sorted by size. Any leftover items will be added to Lacoochee’s Boys and Girls Closet. The closet is a year-round resource for students who need clothing items.
How: Lacoochee Elementary School has partnered with COPE/Shoes for Schools, a local non-profit, for shoe donations and with Seven Oaks Elementary School PTA members for clothing donations. For more information contact Wanda DeLaRosa at 813-447-7981.
