What: Earth Patrol Field Trip
When: 10:15 a.m. Friday, April 22
Where: Zephyr Park, 38116 5th Ave., in Zephyrhills
Why: The purpose of this field trip is to promote student environmental awareness.
How: Earth Patrol and Recycling Team students will walk from West Zephyrhills Elementary School to Zephyr Park for a picnic lunch. During the walk to and from the park, they will pick up litter and dispose of it properly. The students will observe how the park’s patrons affect the park’s plants and animals. They also will analyze their lunches to determine which disposable items are biodegradable, should be recycled, or are trash. For more information contact Herb Roshell at 813-794-6300.
