Who: Hudson Middle School students, staff, and Principal Joe Musselman
What: Children as Authors Night
When: 6 p.m. Thursday, October 23
Where: Books-A-Million, 9570 U.S. Highway 19 North, in Port Richey
Why: 14 years ago, Mrs. Starr decided to take her students’ original story presentation a step further by hosting a public event at Books-A-Million featuring her students. Each year, she hosts “Children as Authors Night” to display their work.
How: Mrs. Starr’s 6th grade English language arts students will be reading their original stories. Prior to this event, each of her students wrote an original story and read it to their class. Students with the best presentations were chosen to read their stories at Books-A-Million. More than 80 people attended last year’s “Children as Authors Night.” Cookies will be served in Joe Muggs following the event. For more information contact Rhonda Starr at (727)774-8353.
